person My style is relational, eclectic and client centered. My training is in Family Systems which means that I am always thinking about your experience in the context of the family you came from, the family you are forming now, the work group that you are part of and the larger world. My work is also informed by Psychodynamic Theory which means that the feelings and responses you have to your current situation often have been influenced by your experiences as a child or young adult. In part Psychodynamic therapy is concerned with the impressions that past relationships have had on you which leave imprints that may affect self esteem, how you conduct yourself in intimate relationships and how you perceive yourself in the world. This will be reflected in and also helpful in the relationship that we build together as well.

In this work my attention is also on the here and now. We will work to build the day to day skills you need to alleviate your symptoms and find new ways of coping and responding to old patterns and create new options that you are in charge of.

I support the use of psychotropic medications as well as alternative holistic approaches to mood stabilization. At times, care requires a team of practitioners. I can offer a multitude of referral options to support your well being.
